Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills Queens New York. Just before finishing junior high, she moved to Queens into Dix Hills Long Island. Her siblings include two younger ones as well as an elder brother. When she was nine up to 16, she started being involved in the business of entertainment by modeling. Her acting career began in The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She studied Sanford Meisner's methods with Ron Stetson for three years. Sandra Bullock received similar training, along with Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton are also amongst the actors who have received the same type of instruction. Her debut role was Beverly Hills 90210 which forced her to relocate in Los Angeles. The first film she appeared in was Johnny Mnemonic. She did all the stunts of the movie, and it established her as an athlete actor. Her talent agent was also representing Matt LeBlanc so, through her agent, she was able to get a regular role on Friends.
